Matthew Pierce D.D.S.

Dr. Pierce was born in Anderson and raised in New Palestine, Indiana. He graduated from  Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a degree in Biology and  Indiana University School of Dentistry . He is a member of the International Team for Implantology Study Club. Dr. Pierce received his Fellowship with the IDIA (International Dental Implant Association). Dr. Pierce enjoys the challenges of dentistry as well as the opportunity to work with patients on a personal level. He has extensive training and experience with Invisalign, Implants, CEREC (Same day crowns) and other specialized forms of dental treatment. He is eager to welcome new patients to the practice.

When not in the office, Dr. Pierce and his wife enjoy traveling, working out, sporting events, movies and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Pierce received the Rising Star of Jackson County Award in 2018, participated in Dancing with Stars of Seymour, and participates in numerous community outreach activities. He's proud to serve Jackson county and all of the surrounding areas at this dental practice.

Douglas Gardner, D.D.S.

Dr. Doug grew up in Greenwood, Indiana. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Health and Disease Biology. After Purdue, he graduated from Marquette School of Dentistry. Doug is excited to be back home in the Hoosier state. He strives to be a lifelong learner and is continuously looking for new and innovative ways to help his patients achieve happier and healthier smiles. Doug and his wife have a beautiful young daughter and two dogs . When not seeing patients, he enjoys traveling, trying new and different food, and fishing, especially ice fishing. Doug is an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacer and Purdue University athletics.

Drake Coomer, D.M.D.

Dr. Drake is a native of Richmond, KY. Drake was blessed to have had positive experiences with the dentist growing up. He wanted others to have similar experiences, so he pursued dentistry as a career when he was in high school. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and information systems at the University of Louisville and continued to complete his dental training and graduated from UofL’s School of Dentistry. Drake found his passion in helping patients achieve their individual goals while maintaining healthy smiles. Drake is committed to excellence and stays current through regular participation in continuing education courses, ensuring patients receive the exceptional care they deserve. Outside the dental office, Drake indulges in his hobbies, including fishing, kayaking, camping, playing music, and cheering for the Louisville Cardinals.

Kim – Office Manager/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Kim is a versatile team member who is able to work in various areas throughout the office. She graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry's Dental Assisting Program in 1989.   Since graduation she received her Expanded Functions certificate and keeps her radiology certificate current.  She joined the Jackson County Dental team in June 2007.  Kim is a lifelong resident of Jackson County and the mother of a grown daughter and son, and the doting grandmother to grandson. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, various crafts, sewing, gardening, and is an active member in her church.

Ashley - Financial Coordinator

Ashley has an Associates Degree in accounting from Jefferson Community and Technical College.  She joined our team in 2022 after having recently moved to Jackson County to be with her fiance, Eric.  Ashley has two daughters who keep her busy with their sporting events.  She also has an adorable mini Bernedoodle that loves attention and treats.  When not at work, she enjoys time with family and friends, shopping and watching movies.

Niki - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Niki is an experienced Dental Assistant since 1993, is certified to take x-rays and has worked at the office since July 1999. She has received her certificate in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting from IU School of Dentistry. Niki takes pride in doing her best to provide quality dental care for each dental patient. Niki and her husband have a son and two adorable grandchildren. They enjoy the summer months when they camp and spend time on their boat.

Katie - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Katie became a member of our team in October 2017.  She is a graduate of ATA College of Dental assisting and received her Expanded Certificate in March of 2018 from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.  Katie and her husband are parents of beautiful toddler daughter, an adorable goldendoodle and anxiously await the arrival of their second daughter in the fall of 2023.  When not working, she enjoys the outdoor life and spending time with family and friends

Whitney - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Whitney graduated from Ivy Tech Dental Assisting Program as a certified dental assistant in 2020. She has sinced earned her expanded functions certificate as well as an Associates Degree of Applied Science.  She loves getting to be a part of improving our patients’ confidence in helping create beautiful smiles. While not at work, Whitney enjoys the outdoor life Jeeping, and camping.   Whitney is the proud mother of her baby daughter, Harper Rae, and cherishes every minute with her.

Jessica - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Jessica became a memeber or our team in April of 2022.  She graduated from Dental Assistant School of Indiana in November 2020 and received her Expanded Functions Certificate in October 2022.  She enjoys helping patients build their confidence through their smile.  Jessica and her husband Zachary have two children, Kennedy and Grant.  While not at work she enjoys visiting with family and friends, reading and being outside.

Ashley - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Ashley graduated from Ivy Tech Dental Assisting program in 2022 with her certificate in Expanded Functions.  Ashley is a lifetime resident of Seymour.  She met her boyfriend, Adam, freshman year of high school and have been together since.  Ashley has an adorable miniature schnauzer, Sammie.  She enjoys her career in dentistry and loves meeting our patients.  While not a work, her hobbies include shopping, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.  

Debbie - Licensed Dental Hygienist

Debbie joined the Jackson County Dental team in April 2000. She graduated from the University of Louisville Dental Hygiene Program in 1998. Debbie’s priority to the patients is to build a relationship with each one so she may communicate to them the importance of good dental care. Debbie was born and raised in Scott County and is married with two children. Her family enjoys camping, boating and is active in 4-H.

Haley - Licensed Dental Hygienist

Haley graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Hygiene program in 2021 and joined our team in October of 2023.  She enjoys helping patients understand the importance of good oral hygiene and getting to know her patients.  Haley is originally from Salem, IN and now resides in Seymour with her husband, Daniel and their dog, Davey.  While not at work, Haley enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on walks/runs, baking, and doing any and all types of projects around the house!

Kendra -Licensed Dental Hygienist

Kendra graduated from University of Louisville's School of dentistry's hygiene program in May of 2022 and joined our team in January of 2023. She has always had an interest in the dental field and appreciates that she is now able to help others gain more knowledge about their own oral health. Kendra says, "It really brightens up my day when people say they enjoy getting their teeth cleaned and apply the information I give them at home." Kendra is originally from Scottsburg, Indiana and still currently resides there. In her free time she likes taking her dog Oakley on hikes or for a swim and enjoying time with family and friends!
